Specialised Crossroads Bike

Novità artistiche

News on the artistic side to Andebølle. Number one: the first days of February were devoted to a new project, the Bodypainting . Number two: the whole school, including myself, visited the studio of a famous and controversial Danish artist, Jens Galshiøt .

Created with flickr slideshow from softsea .

The Bodypaniting was the first in a series of projects in which several subjects are blended together to achieve learning outcomes. The classes in Music, Art and Design and Film and Media have worked together: the students have Music written and recorded the soundtrack , the "artists" have painting the naked bodies (or most) of some student volunteers, Film & Media's team has taken , edited and assembled all to produce a documentary.

The visit to the Gallery Glashiøt was something inexplicable: a place made of unfinished statues and parts of various works, clusters of mannequins, small and large finished works, objects exhibitions, sculpture in process. In short, a chaos, but sensible and fascinating.

We could see ( paying the artist for his request, with just three cases of soft drinks ) all the works that made Jens Glashiøt famous, those who did hate and banish it from different Countries around the world, those that have become a voice against art but also of international politics . Jens has also introduced, appearing in the studio for a few minutes to greet us: then it vanished into thin leaves in the hands of his pupils.

Copenhagen in December 2010
I also discovered that the signature behind an installation that I could see in Copenhagen in December, during a tourist trip to the capital along with my sister.

The world is small and Denmark even more.
