Fabiano Ambu here had already spoken on the occasion of its roll of Nimrod. And that was already a major step for his career. But the number of Dampyr of the decade, due out this month, Fabiano is a dream come true.
I think I was among the first (if not the first) in the world of comics to know Fabiano back in 1992. Then made the fanzine Littlenemo and somehow came in contact with us and asked us to cooperate. Even then showed una notevole maturità e serietà di intenti. Il suo scopo era chiaro e niente e nessuno lo avrebbe fermato. Non voglio qui fare una lista di elogi per Fabiano. Lui sa quanto lo stimo e non ho bisogno di esplicitarlo qui. Altri hanno parlato della positiva cocciutaggine di Fabiano, ed è una delle cose che più gli invidio. Mentre in tanti al suo posto avrebbero mollato da tempo, lui non si è mai tirato indietro. La sua passione e il suo entusiasmo hanno ultimamente contagiato anche me. Tanto è vero che sto anche provando a vedere se riesco a tirare fuori qualche buona idea per Dampyr, anche se è una series really hard to write.
Regarding the work of Fabiano on Dampyr I have little to say except that this is a debut with a bang. I had the impression that he started drawing the first table with a little 'fear and awe, perhaps (it was not easy to draw a story), but then in mid-register to buy security, and towards the end of the register realized that the tables are real masterpieces.
I dare not imagine that the better quality will be his next job Dampyr.
I'm really happy for him, and it is as if, somehow, a little part of me was present in this debut Bonelli.
Fabiano once mi disse che non avrebbe, comunque, mai smesso di disegnare fumetti.
E il suo sogno lo avrebbe realizzato. Il tempo gli ha dato ragione.
